Designing Your Funeral
There are two angles of the design process. First, we ask you to look at how you wish to honor and celebrate the life. When those key arrangements are made, we’ll turn to the issue of how you to tend for the physical remains.

How to Honor a Life
Bringing those your love together at time of loss is a normal thing to do. It has become a normal practice. More importantly, a memorial or funeral service is a key part in initial healing.
You can have your service anywhere and any way you want. Your choices are entirely your own, as you can choose time of day, the day of the week, musical selection or even bands, a favorite prayer or songs you would like to be sung. Howe Mortuary can also arrange to have butterflies, doves, or balloons released at the close of your service. We are here to help create the most memorable and touching service.
Burial or Cremation?
The next factor for your consideration is to choose between cremation and burial. People are normally pretty clear on this decision. Usually, your loved may have told how they wish to be cared for ideally. But it can be a problem for some families, especially when the wishes of the deceased were never stated. If this happens to you, we're are able to help you come to the key decision for you and your loved one.
Once finally decided, other details will com to focus such as burial, vault, selection of casket, and desired cemetery.
If you chose cremation, then you'll need to decide whether the cremated remains will be placed in a mausoleum niche, buried in the ground, or if your going to spread them somewhere.
In some towns, there's is the option for a 'green burial.' If that is an option that you know your loved one would've of wanted, then we'll help in giving the environmentally-freindly choice.
Now that we've giving you the basic rundown, it's now time to reflect and think about what exactly is important for your family and you. We highly recommend that you gather everyone together to speak out what is in their heart's.
